Dana is a member of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation (Golden Lake, ON). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Science in Biology from Concordia University. Her research focussed on how plants and pollinators are responding in the face of climate change. She is passionate about the environmental, social, and economic implications of sustainability, and advocates for the expansion of queer, indigenous-led and community science. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, pointing out cool bugs to her friends and family, and crocheting.
