Michael’s background includes learnings in business, natural resources, energy, geomorphology, hydrology, physics, chemistry, and environmental science. As the CEO of Chu Cho Environmental, Michael is expected to grow the business, create opportunities, build capacity, develop professional working relationships, and enhance the company’s overall image. The development of Chu Cho’s overall strategy and the tactics used to generate more significant than average returns are an essential component of this role. Additionally, Michael has extensive experience as an environmental scientist and project manager and has been engaged in works of numerous disciplines.
For the last 15 years, Michael has been involved in planning, implementing, and managing several projects for various environmental research and monitoring initiatives in northern BC. Michael has held several board positions, including the Society for Ecosystem Restoration in Northern BC, Terrace Off-Road cycling Association and Terrace Tourism (current). Michael also led the early development of the Tsay Keh Dene Sustainable Biomass Project.
Mentoring with ICE is about providing meaningful educational experiences for catalysts and other interested students. It is an opportunity to share experiences and direct instruction on specific topics. Still, more importantly, it is an opportunity to listen and work through problems as a group collectively.
