Relationship Building
As an Indigenous-led organization, ICE is committed to social action based on developing and maintaining long-term partnerships that advance sustainable best practices in clean energy with Indigenous communities in Canada and globally. We achieve this by creating partnerships and conducting our operations in a transparent, respectful, and trusting manner.
Our core relationship-building approach is to utilize traditional values of respect, kindness, and accountability in our interactions with partners. We understand the value of meaningful communication and measurable outcomes as we establish timelines and reporting metrics with our partners. Additionally, it is critical that we acknowledge traditional territories and act on recommendations from the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and the Truth and Reconciliation 94 Calls to Action.
