Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) is an independent non-profit organization that advances broad sustainable prosperity by amplifying First Nation, Inuit, and Métis leadership in clean energy projects. Through capacity-building, career training, and mentorship with high quality and hands-on programming, ICE supports Indigenous Peoples in their clean energy journeys, while promoting meaningful collaboration with energy companies, utilities, governments, development firms, clean tech innovators, the academic sector, and capital markets.

ICE is a fully remote workplace with hybrid options for those who live in several areas within Canada. Our headquarters is currently located in Ottawa, but we have plans for an on-reserve office in the near future.
Position Summary
Indigenous Clean Energy Social Enterprise (ICE) operates a Project Accelerator Program to catalyze energy efficiency projects coast-to-coast-to-coast. This program manager will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the program, putting together program strategies, workplans, budgets, and outreach plans. They will work under the guidance of the Director of Efficiency and Transportation.
Responsibilities
- Developing and managing workplans for the project accelerator program
- Planning program curriculum
- Overseeing the coordination of webinars and on-site session event planning
- Facilitating the development and delivery of program content such as webinars and in-person sessions
- Drafting and managing program budgets
- Building relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, key partners and collaborators, and others
- Supporting the development of funding proposals and subsequent reporting
- Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
- Leading participant recruitment, onboarding, and communications
- Managing the development of contracts, agreements, onboarding materials, facilitation guides, and other materials as needed
- Working with communications team to develop and execute communication strategies to promote the Accelerator Program
- Acting as a main point of contact for program participants
- Presenting about the program at conferences and other venues
- Supporting program participant communities with development of their energy efficiency project plans
- Coordinating with the ICE Mentorship team in matching of program coaches and advisors with participants, feedback intake and response as needed.
- Collecting and analyzing program feedback to continuously improve program curriculum, structure, and delivery
- Collaborating with other Bringing It Home projects and team members as needed
- Managing and overseeing a Program Coordinator
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience or relevant lived experience
- Undergraduate degree
- Previous experience working with First Nation, Inuit and Métis communities would be an asset.
- Previous experience working with a board or other governing body or asset
- Present intermediate skills in using Microsoft Office software as well as other web-based tools such as Asana and SharePoint
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring high-quality work in all tasks and documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, taking initiative and finding solutions to challenges
- Professional demeanor, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Previous work experience in the clean energy field would be an asset
- Previous work experience with Indigenous focused organizations would be an asset
- Previous work experience with a non profit organization would be an asset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide variety of collaborators from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, etc.) is an asset.
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, history, and governance structures is an asset
