Mike Reynolds (He/Him)

Mike has been a climate-protection advocate since first working with Greenpeace in the 1980s. After years of developing his skills as a green homebuilder and project manager, in 2010, he co-founded Ecohome, the world’s largest green building network.

With a determination to see the adoption of sustainable building practices that reflect the current climate crisis, Mike’s time is spent developing content for the Ecohome website and teaching, consulting, and participating in the design and construction of concept houses. Ecohome’s demonstration houses have received international notoriety and awards. Mike uses the demonstration homes as teaching tools to promote sustainable building practices and the elusive – but possible –the concept of carbon-negative construction.

Mike lives in Chelsea, Quebec, on the unceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation. In his spare time, he can be found swimming in, paddling on, or skiing on the Tenagadino Zibi (Gatineau River).
