Celebrating 10 Years of Impact
The National Gathering is Indigenous Clean Energy’s major biannual event that brings together Indigenous clean energy leaders, practitioners, and allies. This event offers a unique opportunity to build new partnerships, inform policy, and create pathways to advance more meaningful Indigenous participation in the clean energy transition.
Held in partnership with the Tsuut’ina Nation, the 2026 National Gathering will welcome more than 500 participants for three days of connection, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
In 2026, Indigenous Clean Energy will celebrate 10 years of impact through the 20/20 Catalysts Program, our flagship initiative that has supported more than 150 participants with the tools and resources to become clean energy leaders.
This milestone edition—Celebrating 10 Years of Impact—will honour a decade of transformative work by a strong community of Indigenous clean energy leaders, program participants, mentors, organizations, and partners, whose collective efforts have helped shape the clean energy landscape in Canada.
Applications are open until Friday, July 31, 2026.

About the Artwork
Created by Bada Jean, a proud Treaty 6 and 7 member from Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation and Tsuut’ina Nation.
“In this artwork, you see people in the foreground holding hands, symbolizing community and working together. In the middle ground, you see tipis, which were once our traditional homes and are now used for ceremonies and gatherings. Coming from the centre tipi is a heart, to show the importance of working together and showing each other love. It is to show that Indigenous Clean Energy works from a place of love for communities and the Earth, to do things in a good way. Beside the tipis, you see bison travelling along the horizon, symbolizing connection and resilience. The night sky is speckled with stars, showing our connection to them and honouring them. You see constellations throughout the sky to honour eagles, as they are symbolic in our culture. Lightning and clouds are shown to represent how it is possible to work with Mother Earth and the elements to create clean energy, such as from the sun, wind, and water.”
