About the Program
The 20/20 Catalysts Program is a capacity building program designed to ensure that Indigenous community leaders have the know-how, networks, and resources to maximize the community benefits their communities see as a result of participation in clean energy projects. The Program will be facilitated by leading Indigenous and non-Indigenous clean energy experts from across Canada and will take place over the course of July, August, and September 2016.
3 On-site Intensive Sessions will be held across the country during this 3 month period near the towns of Wakefield QC, Bowen Island, BC, and Noelville, ON. These sessions will be the focus of the learning during the Program, as Catalysts and Mentors share their knowledge and expertise on clean energy projects, specifically looking at the five skills categories highlighted by 20/20.
- Community Engagement and Communications
- Economic Development and Business Planning
- Employment Creation and Skills Enhancement
- Project Financing and Equity Capital
- ‘Smart’ Reinvestment and Community Legacy
