Lumos Energy ‘Value Keys’
Lumos Energy seeks to accelerate the speed of development of clean energy and ventures, and optimize value for Aboriginal communities, partners, and investors. This is accomplished by applying a set of ‘Value Keys’ in projects. These ‘Value Keys’ are mechanisms and tools developed by Lumos which facilitate planning, investment, and technology decisions in clean energy projects.
Lumos Energy has catalyzed Indigenous clean energy projects in almost all of Canada’s provinces and territories. Chiefs and Councils, Tribal Groups and Aboriginal Economic Development Corporations seek out Lumos Energy’s innovative clean energy services for community energy planning, and business-oriented advice for project partnership negotiations and financing, including economic development strategies with impact.
To date, Lumos has worked on projects such as:
- Innavik Hydro Project
- Nunatsiavut Energy Security Plan
- Okikendawt Hydro Project
- Waytaynikaneyap Power Project
- Pehonan Hydro Project
Lumos Energy is led by Chris Henderson, Canada’s pre-eminent Indigenous clean energy expert. His ground-breaking book, Aboriginal Power, was published in 2013. Chris and the Lumos Team share information and insights openly with Indigenous communities, governments, and clean energy companies; and stress teamwork and solutions-focused collaboration.
